Life at the Inn

The Inn is located in Newberg, Oregon, about a 45-minute drive from downtown Portland, and a fifteen-minute walk from both the George Fox University campus and downtown Newberg. Residents of the Inn come from all over the country; thus far we have housed residents from Alaska, Missouri, Virginia, Washington, California, and Oregon. A stay at the Inn may range from less than a month to over a year. Each resident is unique and comes with their own needs and hopes for their stay at the Inn.

A typical week at the Inn for residents involves multiple house breakfasts, Monday evening book group, and a Sunday evening dinner followed by a house meeting. Residents also have the opportunity to receive spiritual direction if desired, and will meet regularly with the Inn Care Manager to work on creating and implementing an individual care plan, including goals for their time at the Inn.

The main job of every resident is to rest, heal, and grow, but that doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Residents of the Inn are surrounded by a community of Inn Staff, friends of the Inn, mentors, and counselors, all who desire to see individual residents flourish.
